I created this up-close pastel painting portrait to pay homage to their beauty and strength. The painting is layered with several colors of pastel which gives it a soft, dream-like quality. The details of the feathers are carefully rendered, bringing out the vividness of this majestic animal. I am passionate about protecting these birds and hope that my tribute will help spread awareness for them.
