Spring Is Near - Cardinal
I was inspired to create this pastel painting of a cardinal perching on a stump with a light green background because of the deep red color of this beautiful bird. The painting was a challenge to capture the delicate beauty of this bird in all its vibrant colors and details. I used a variety of pastels to make sure I captured every feather and reflection of light accurately, as well as added depth to the background colors. With this piece, I aimed to convey the peacefulness of watching these birds in nature and inspire viewers to appreciate the beauty of birds all around them.
